Taste of the Danforth is an annual weekend food festival celebrating Greek and Mediterranean culture. This year, it’s happening August 5-7. There’s live music, performances, games, and of course lots of food and drinks.

Starting at Pape Avenue (Pape Subway station) is an open Food Fair on Danforth Avenue. The road is closed to vehicle traffic from Pape to Broadview subway Station. People walk the street to sample Greek Food and other local vendors. Held once a year.

If you get the opportunity to try to make it to the Danforth area you will experience some of the best Greek food I have ever tasted. (better than I have had in Greece). Taste of the Danforth is an actual street festival that has food vendors competing for your palette. This event draws large crowds to the Danforth during the month of August, however you can still experience most of this culture by visiting any of the Greek restaurants on the Danforth at any time of the year. Very lively and appetizing experience.
