Hit the slopes on snowboards or skis and test your endurance with a hike. During the spring solstice, take advantage of those two months and be the first in the U.S.A. to see the sunrise. On Friday/Saturday nights, sneak to the upper floor of the lodge for great draft beer and live music. Just a 30 minute drive from The Sleepy Chalet.

Big Rock is a fun hill to visit for snowboarding, skiing and tubing. The elevation is 1,590 feet; base elevation 670 feet. It offers 27 runs and has 3 lift systems. They rent equipment and offer lessons for all age groups. The lodge has a small cafeteria style restaurant, a bar and lots of seating. They host several special events and you can find more info online and on Facebook. Big Rock is 21 miles away.

Ski, snowboarding, tubing, also nice in the summer or fall if you want to hike the mountain, beautiful windmills, view of the town of Mars Hill
