Der Lac de Sainte-Croix ist ein in Frankreich an der Grenze der Départements Alpes-de-Haute-Provence und Var gelegener Stausee. Er liegt im Regionalen Naturpark Verdon.

Our absolute favorite destination is “our lake” approx. 15min drive from Aups. Like a turquoise blue gem, it lies there, glittering in dazzling sunlight - surrounded by Europe's largest canyon on one side and on the other side the low plateau with all fragrant lavender fields. The lake is approx. 1 mile long and is a dam of the River Verdon. Under the lake lies the old village of Les Salles, which unfortunately had to go into the tomb for the lake to be created.

A great beautiful turquoise lake at the entrance to the Gorge de Verdon, place to sunbath by the lake, pedalo, up the gorge and generally relax. Great day out.
