Best kept secret in NYC that's used by NYC locals: the Via cell phone app. You request and share a car ride for about $5-10 (no matter the distance) to drive in Manhattan and Brooklyn. You may be asked to meet at a corner rather than exact address. Best after rush hour especially. Lyft, Juno, and Uber are also good.
