Katoomba: Coffee is good. Great views. Interesting exhibitions and special events. Be sure to make time to check out the World Heritage room, a permanent exhibition.

Art gallery, a permanent local Blue Mountains interactive display, a good view and a decent coffee shop. Worthwhile especially if the weather is not cooperating

Perfect for rainy days. The Cultural Centre (above the Coles carpark) has fascinating exhibits and a regular exhibit In The Blue. Learn about the ancient and modern history of the World Heritage landscape. Good views of mountains from the cafe. The public library is next door.
