I always rent a car. Grace Bay Car rentals has good rates and the people are friendly, helpful and easy to deal with. There is no Uber or Lyft on the island. Cabs are available but cost about $25 per person one way.

It’s advisable to rent a car to get around on this island. We do not have a great public transport system. Taxis charge you an arm and leg.
