See how the area is recovering from the devastating effects of the Carr Fire. The lake offers swimming and canoeing.

Park
“These are a must-see! They're a bit of a drive, about an hour one way but so gorgeous. They're in a state park, the entry I think is $10, a short walk from the car for a grand vista! Stop in Mccloud for lunch either on the way or back!”

“Lake Shasta is an amazing resource for the Redding Area. It's got over 300 miles of shoreline and is a waterspouts paradise. Great for boating, waterskiing / wake boarding / wake surfing, lounging, fishing, picnicking, sightseeing, and features a number of marinas which rent everything from houseboats to personal watercraft. Tremendous recreational resource!”
