Die große, grüne Oase inmitten der Stadt mit hochgewachsenen Bäumen, Wasser- und Grasflächen mit Picknick- Möglichkeiten, ein Platz für Spaziergänge und Entspannung für alle ohne Rücksicht auf das Alter, entstand bereits in der Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts als Jagd- und Wildpark. Das ganze Areal, in gewisser Weise ein Central Park Prags, ist von Spielplätzen und Wegen durchwoben, die Erholungszwecken dienen. Stromovka (deutsch: Baumgarten) ist gut mit der Tram erreichbar. Fahren Sie vom Wohnhaus mit der Tram Nummer 22 bis "Strossmayerovo náměstí". Hier in die Tram 17 umsteigen und am Endhaltestelle "Výstaviště Holešovice" aussteigen.

Central Park of Prague! If you are visiting Prague in a summer, this is a must stroll in nature. You can take a picnic and spend the day here;) An oasis of peace and relaxation, an island of greenery in the midst of a noisy metropolis: All this and more awaits you in the Royal deer-park, better known as the Stromovka, Prague’s largest park. This roughly 100 hectare (250 acre) site is open every day to a whole gamut of visitors. Here you will find Bohemian hipsters, lovey-dovey couples, joggers, in-line skaters and cyclists, families with kids of all ages, and dogs with their owners. From time to time you’ll come across a wedding ceremony held under the romantic canopy of ancient trees. Stromovka park has its unmistakable charm and takes life at its own pace.

Stromovka was established under Přemysl Otakar II., Who had it fenced off in 1266 as a hunting ground and built a summer house there.

Huge and beautiful park. Great place for relaxing, walking, biking, skateboarding, roller skating. Picnics and relax next to the lake:)
