Grenada offers travelers a seemingly endless variety of experiences. One of the most magical is snorkeling or diving at the Underwater Sculpture Park in Grenada’s Molinere Bay. The park was designed in 2007 by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, who later created similar installations around the world. The Underwater Sculpture Park in Grenada has been listed as one of the Top 25 Wonders of the World by National Geographic.

You can book a water taxi to take you there from the Carenage in St George's or get a local boat at Dragon Bay where you can hang out and enjoy the secluded beach after your tour of the park.

If you have the time, this is a definite must do on your trip to Grenada. I have done this many times with family and friends and it's a different experience every time. My friend Wally has been operating "Sun Lover", a glass bottom for over 20 years! He takes visitors out to the sculpture park. Snorkeling gear, snacks and drinks are included in the cost. You can choose to get in the water or view the sculptures from inside the boat. He makes his guests very comfortable and the trip is always fun! Be sure to try his world famous Rum Punch!!! Please message if you are interested in planning a trip

Underwater Sculpture Park The Sculptures One of our most popular snorkeling sites is an underwater gallery of sculptures in our Molinere Beauséjour Marine Protected Area, that very much reflect Grenada’s culture. Fashioned from a variety of media but predominantly from simple substrates including concrete and rebar, they create an ideal substrate, relatively fixed and permanent, on which marine life may develop. They are sympathetically located to enhance the reef, making natural use of its varied topography of craggy gullies and sun-dappled sandy patches. As artificial reefs, these sculptures are proving highly successful so far in attracting a stunning array of varied marine life.
