Lovely peaceful and easy walking around the sanctuary, birds amazing and the Tuatara are quite superb to watch sunning themelves on teh bank.

Great walks, amongst native birds, flora and fauna. It has night tours and twilight tours. Free shuttle from top of Wellington Cable car. Recommend going on a guided tour.

Primary forest where you can see famous and wild New Zealand birds : Takahe, Kiwi, Kaka. Really nice walk afternoon in the middle of the bush. 24$ adult entry
