Killington Peak via Bucklin Trail is a 7.2 mile mildly trafficked out and back trail located near Rutland, Vermont that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. It's a slow, steady start for the first 5 miles and then leads straight to the top during the last 2 miles. It's definitely a good, tough, get-your-sweat-on type of hike!

Take a ride up the gondola from K-1 lodge (or a long hike) for amazing views and great food as well as a full bar.
If you arn't skiing/snowboarding, you can still take the gondola up to the top. There is a bar and food at the Peak Lodge at the summit of Killington with stunning views all around.
Great 7.2 mile out-and-back hike using Bucklin Trail - parking area off Wheelerville Rd, off Rt 4 east of Rutland. Hike through the woods, along a brook, then start the steeper rock climb. The summit is bare with great views, but is also busy - the Killington Ski gondola is used in summer to bring up many tourists. (22 miles away, 1 hr.)
