Omi-Maiko (or Omimaiko) is the nearest and the most beautiful beach resort from Osaka and Kyoto. The white sand beach on Lake Biwa, provides an ideal escape from the city. 近江舞子といえば、約3kmにわたって白砂青松が続く眺めが素晴らしく古くから風光明媚の地として知られています。琵琶湖八景にも、「涼風、雄松崎の白汀」として取り上げられています。
