It is a great museum which explains the history of the traditional turrón and other sweets in Alicante. There are different sections like manufacturing processes, different utensils used over the years, the branding. There is a bright collection of popular metal tins dating back decades, it’s very interesting. There is a chance to see the production process with the corridors that overlook the factory. At the end of the tour we were offered some samplings. Totally with it the visit! Not a museum in the classical sense, el Museo del Turrón is strangely located amidst Turrón factories. But sweet-tooth satisfaction will be guaranteed! Some people drive halfway across Spain to get what this place has to offer.

Una visita deliciosa al Museo del Turrón es una de las muchas opciones que nos ofrece una escapada por Alicante. Todo un placer viajar hasta Jijona. En efecto, Jijona es conocida principalmente por ser el lugar donde se elabora el turrón, tanto la variedad de Jijona como la de Alicante. Y no podía faltar un Museo del Turrón dedicado a tan delicioso manjar.

Visitar Xixona, cuna del turrón y no hacerlo al museo de este dulce tan representativo de la localidad no tiene perdón. Una delicia para mayores y pequeños.
