Experience an exciting tradition of Mazatlan, Locals and travelers meet in the afternoons at the Rodolfo Sánchez Taboada Glorieta, better known as El Clavadista (The Diver). We are talking about a place at the edge of a cliff just over 14 meters high that welcomes brave men who want to break the waves of the Pacific Ocean showing off their best jumps. The show starts at noon and ends shortly before midnight. Definitely, the best time to observe the expertise of these divers is at sunset. Shows are free, however, participants accept tips.

Cliff Divers! OK not as long a dive as some places but great fun to see. The divers themselves will want to drum up a crowd so if you go down to the entrance to their diving area, a 5 minute walk north along the beach from Su Casa, they will find you to negotiate the cost of your view of a dive. Don't go when you are in a hurry, they want as big a crowd as possible - sometimes it takes a long time to drum up enough. They dive at night during high tourist times, using torches, quite interesting.
