Minimum half day required for this trip but could work with a late afternoon/dinner visit to Tobermory. The Grotto is about a 1km walk with a very smooth trail from parking. The Grotto is a very “Mediterranean-like” rock beach with high and low points for jumping into Georgian Bay. There is absolutely beautiful and great hiking along Georgian Bay. Really worth the visit; better is it is a sunny and warm day. Tip – if Cyprus Lake is too busy and you can not get in, drive back to Half-Way Log Dump access – this area on the Bruce Trail / Georgian Bay has some of the most beautiful rock formations and is great for swimming. You might need to reverse a spot online before heading to the provincial park on their website.

This is a must when you are here. Such a magical place. You must make a reservation for parking, otherwise you may not be permitted in. If you love hiking you will love the Grotto. Take your own drinks and food with. Bathing suits.You will want to scale down into it for find the hole that will take you down into it. You can also reach the Grotto if you park (reservation required to) at Emmett lake Half Way-log dump. It’s a 2 hour hike to the Grotto . Stop at Storm haven which once stood a cabin , that you could take refuge in, but it was torn down. It’s half way to the Grotto. You will be hiking high on the escarpment. Breath taking!
