Open for lunch & dinner. Great Mediterranean menu. Opt for sitting upstairs. Take out pizza always a good choice. They also have vegan options. Credit Card accepted.

Traverna is a warm & inviting neighborhood restaurant serving fresh caught seafood, a refreshing cocktail or the best Italian food including pizza from the wood burning oven. Highly recommend the Tortino Al Cioccolato, chocolate cake with warm chocolate center served with vanilla gelato. They usually have live entertainment on Saturday nights which makes it even a better choice for dinner.

Also located “in town” near the white arch as you enter Akumal, this is a new, upscale Italian restaurant with pasta, pizza and a few signature meat dishes. Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere and good service. Ask the bartender for a “Tequila Mockingbird!”
