This country park is one of my favourite spots to run, walk or simply be. It's also great Pokemon hunting ground with two pokestops! The park has a fishing lake, large paddling pool in the summer (£2 entry), well-maintained footpaths through the woods and out into the protected countryside. It's not unusual to see deer here. There is also an ice cream shack, small cafe and playground. I feel extremely lucky to live so close to this genuinely beautiful spot.

Good for a walk with excellent café and washroom facilities.

California Country Park is just across the road (no need to drive). It has a nice lake and usually there is a paddling pool for Children beside a good quality restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner (please do your own research as it is sometimes closed) The park is often used by runners and cyclists trying to stay in shape :-) It is generally a pleasant getaway Inside the restaurant there are several pictures of stars from the past (Do you think the Americans know this is the 'Real California' from where their name came?

A lovely little Park with a good cafe, decent play area, paddling pool in the summer, and enjoyable walk around the lake.
