One of the nicest and most extensive National Parks in the country. The park can cater to ones looking for an afternoon stroll as well as to people looking for an arduous multi-day hike, or bike tour. Plus everything in between.

Along with the Bavarian Forest forms part of the largest forest landscape in central Europe. Primeval mountain forest remnants, glacial lakes, mountain and valley raised bogs make this area a unique "gem" of natural beauty. This sparsely inhabited area has a special magic and a touch of eeriness.
