This turtle sanctuary plays an important role in collecting the turtle eggs from the black sand beach of Cuyutlan that is a popular hatching area for the large sea turtles. The entrance fee is low and worth every penny. An small extra fee gives you the tour the lagoon. If you are there during nesting season, you may be able to release back to the ocean some baby turtles! Great day trip out of Manzanillo.
