Rainbow Falls is peaceful, scenic and the sound of the waterfall is relaxing. The surrounding bush and the walks there are easy and suitable for all ages. It is a lovely spot.

A must do visit to Rainbow Falls. A 4.3km walk (about an hour) one way starting at the Rainbow Falls car park and ending up at the Kerikeri Basin where one will find parking and picnicking areas. A short easy and beautiful walk through native bush. There are three viewing platforms at the top of…

If you park up at Rainbow falls Rd and walk down to the stone store it takes about half an hour. You can have morning tea or lunch at the Honeypot cafe or the Plough & Feather, look around the gardens and the Store and then do the walk back up to where you’ve parked at Rainbow falls.

Kino
“Cathay Cinema & Café We are blessed with a wonderful independent cinema here in Kerikeri. Called the Cathay Cinema it shows arthouse and independent movies and in school holidays, current and popular children’s movies. The cinema has a good café adjacent which serves morning and afternoon teas, lunches, brunches and dinners.”

Establishment
“ Two of New Zealand's oldest buildings are situated in the Kerikeri Basin. Kemp House and the Stone Store are the only survivors from the Church Missionary Society's second Anglican mission to New Zealand, founded in 1819 on land granted to the Reverend Samuel Marsden by the powerful Nga Puhi chief, Hongi Hika. Kemp House is the oldest surviving European building in New Zealand. The Stone Store is the country's oldest surviving stone building.”
