Let’s talk Yellowstone! It’s an amazing destination that gets very busy during summer months. Plan ahead to get there early in the morning & weekdays will be less crowded. Take a jacket, even on the hottest days, as well as sunscreen & mosquito repellent. Old Faithful & Grand Prismatic are top attractions. Be prepared to spend time parking. Start your day at the attraction you don’t want to miss. Expect some traffic & stay all day, if possible.

The East Entrance Road is one of five roads that provide access to the Grand Loop Road and the rest of Yellowstone. This is the route usually taken by those staying in, or passing through, the town of Cody, Wyoming on the way. The East Entrance Road is typically open for vehicle travel May through October and is about 76 miles from Powell.
