Well worth a visit and part of National Trust for Scotland , Brodick Castle and estate is a definite on your itinerary . No need to book in advance , plenty for children to do in the grounds and a takeaway cafe too.

Great playground for the kids - open from Easter till Christmas. Nice walks at all times of the year. Castle also worth a tour.

When the skies open, you could take refuge in the restored baronial home of Brodick Castle. Its grand rooms are adorned with period furniture, silverware, paintings and sporting trophies. And a lot of stag heads. There is also a victorian arcade for kids.

Castle tour is amazing, gardens are fab and great play park for kids!
