I recommend going across the ferry to Ocracoke as a pedestrian passenger. Bike and golf cart rentals are a short walk away from the ferry terminal. It is an easy way to see the island. Lots of great restaurants and gift shops. Be sure to stop by the local fish market for some local caught seafood before loading back on the ferry.

great for all ages. take the ferry over and stay at a bed and breakfast or take a tent and sleeping bags and hit the campground.

Each lighthouse has its own unique history. They are majestic and awe inspiring and are still in use today.
