This is one of the prettiest small chateaux in France. It was used extensively in the Drew Barrymore film, "Ever After".

Chateau de Hautefort, 10 minutes drive from Les Taloches, sits perched high above the beautiful town of Hautefort. The old medieval fortress, probably built on the site of a Roman camp, was transformed into country residence in the 17th century. The interior contains a collection of furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries. In the 19th century, the renowned landscape architect the Count of Choulot designed the French gardens surrounding the castle and created the English-style park, which offers varied views of the countryside and the surrounding villages.

This massive chateau dominates the local sky line, well worth a visit and also the local village too.
