Ein Ausflug zu den südlich von Göteborg vorgelagerten Schären, ist ganz sicher ein Ausflug wert. Die Schäreninseln Brännö, Styrsö und Donsö, sind autofrei. Man erreicht sie leicht mit Personenfähren von Saltholmen. An excursion to the archipelago south of Gothenburg is definitely worth a visit. The archipelago islands of Brännö, Styrsö and Donsö are car-free. They are easily reached by ferry from Saltholmen.

From Saltholmen you can take boats and visit the wonderful islands outside Göteborg. This is a must for a visitor to the city. You can reach Saltholmen with tram nr 11.

This is the end stop of tram 11 (and sometimes tram 9 also goes here). Here you can find great cliffs and swim in the sea (continue walking and climb over the cliffs. Not super-easy to find the "badplats" but ask someone in the small stands, they can point you in the right direction. From here, you also take the boats to the islands in the archipelago: Brännö, Styrsö and Vrångö. This is a lovely destination over the day. Note- During peak season (mid July - mid August) many people want to to, be there early.

Easy to reach, you can take the tram here! Can be a bit crowded during summer though.
