Rudyard Kiplings home these days houses a lovely garden cafe. Having tea and cake in this beautiful walled garden is one of my favourite treats.

In the village of Rottingdean, along the coast road eastwards, there's a place called The Grange. It houses the Rottingdean library, has a nice little upstairs art Gallery/museum, with a Rudyard Kipling exhibition, and has a great garden cafe. A wonderful historic house with quirky things to discover. Rudyard Kipling, the Author of The Jungle Book lived in Rottingdean. I like this place very much for a sunny garden lunch. I also love the secret Rudyard Kipling Gardens in Rottingdean. Beautiful ! and kids can play hide and seek in it.
