Overlooking Hobart, don’t miss the towering 1271m Mount Wellington with 360 degree views. It is a short drive from Hobart city and tourist buses also visit. It can be cold on the peak so make sure you take a jacket cos you might need it. There are great tracks for mountain biking or bush walking.

Mt Wellington is a short half hour drive from Hobart. In wet and icy conditions it could take longer. The views are worth the wind and chill that you might encounter however, I can promise that you will return from the Mountain feeling alive.

“40 minutes into the CBD - we recommend leaving the beach house early 7.30am & arriving at the markets when they're not so busy. Parking is easier. Pick up breakfast at the markets. Saturday only 7.30am - 3.00pm”

“The State Cinema is a Hobart icon that has entertained generations of Tasmanians for 100 years. Enjoy a glass of wine while you watch a movie. The bookshop next door is fantastic too.”

“Bruny Island is a truly serene, spectacularly rugged and olde world "nature at its best" environment. It is only an hour away from Hobart including the ferry ride. In all weather, I highly recommend this sanctuary island.”
