Don't let the name fool you! Palm Valley Fish Camp is one of the top-rated restaurants in the greater Jacksonville area. Try the Mahi with grits and collards, the seared tuna, the whole fried fish, or the "turf" special, which varies daily. Great appetizer choices include the Royal Red shrimp (in season) and the fried green tomatoes. A quick 5-minute drive from the house and you will be at this gem on the Intracoastal. Be sure to call or make a reservation on OpenTable as PVFC is small and there is almost always a wait for a table. Wine and beer are served; no cocktails. The best bread pudding anywhere!

We love to order a drink or glass of wine at the bar at the Inn and enjoy it into the historic Great Room. They also have a limited menu -- the burger is particularly good.
The Surf Club has a casual oceanfront bar and restaurant, as well as more formal dining upstairs.

A must see -- at the very least, tour the Castillo de San Marcos. Play tourist and take one of the sightseeing "trains." There are quite a few good restaurants. Expect traffic and crowds.
