The Sunset is definitely a bit more spread out, but the food options abound. Here are my personal favorites.

On a warm San Francisco night (which, yes, there are few) grab your friends, buy some firewood from the Safeway on Fulton & 48th and roast some hot dogs while watching the sunset. It's best to get out there pretty early—they fill up quick and the park service comes around 9 to dose all the fires.

The view from this perch is unparalleled, especially at sunset. Keep your eyes peeled for whales on the horizon—they love to hang out just beyond Mile Rock.
