Just sitting here for an hour and hanging out evokes the Old California beach vibe largely lost but still found in little gems like this place...enJoy!
Definitely a hidden gem. Service is nice and they carry local items. Store is small but well stocked and prices range from fair to pricey, but given that it is organic, local health food store they have to charge a bit more. Great little gem. Prices are still affordable for organic, healthy food.

Batiquitos Lagoon is one of the few remaining tidal wetlands on the southern California coast of the United States. The area is run by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife as a nature reserve and is designated a Marine Protected area. Things to do at the Lagoon: We offer a number of activities at the lagoon, and something for all ages! Strollers and wheelchairs can be used on the wide and flat trail. Dogs on a leash are allowed. Horses and bicycles are not allowed.
