Typical local food and wines, everything homemade and fresh, definitely my favourite in Salo’! The menu changes based on the season which makes it even more special. Since the place is very good, it can be busy so better make a reservation.

With the newly restored square in Salo', this place is now my favourite for breakfast, coffee and pastries. This is the place where local people meet in the morning to drink a good coffee and start their day. As you know, in Italy we have sweet breakfast and here I always order espresso with 'cannoncini'! There is no lake view, but an amazing atmosphere of Italian morning!

This coffee and bakery shop is very good if you want to enjoy your breakfast under the sun and with lake view. Service is a bit slow and sometimes not the friendliest, but the fantastic view and the delicious croissant makes you forget that. In addition, it is literally 2 minutes walk from the house!
La Casa del Dolce
1 Piazza DuomoThis coffee and bakery shop is very good if you want to enjoy your breakfast under the sun and with lake view. Service is a bit slow and sometimes not the friendliest, but the fantastic view and the delicious croissant makes you forget that. In addition, it is literally 2 minutes walk from the house!
This place is not in Salo', but it really worth it if you want a very good pizza!

I love this place for the amazing fish plates, which are their specialties and the atmosphere: table are by the side of the small port, you will eat by the lake! Order the wine 'della casa' and 'Tagliolini alla Rino' and you will always want to come back!

This is the typical Italian fastfood, which prepares fantastic Piadinas! It is the perfect place when you want something fast and excellent quality. If you never tried piadinas, this is the place to start! There are some tall tables inside, otherwise you can eat at the park in front. Prices are low, around 5-7 Euros.

Drinks & Nightlife
When I am in Salo', you will most certainly find me here before or after dinner! I love the aperitivo here, a good Spritz or Ca' Del Bosco with the snacks that they bring you with it is the ideal way to finish your day at the lake, relax and enjoy the atmosphere that this bar offers. You can have also toasties or cold plates such as caprese, or prosciutto crudo.. They have a large selection of Gins and in general cocktails!
A plus is that my brother works there and you can asks for advices on what to order to him.

La Torre was described by some of my friends as the best 'club' they ever been to. The scene is so romantic, due to the stunning beautiful tower, the garden and the lake view. It is jut a place you will never forget. During the week it is more calm, you can relax at the piano bar and order drinks inside or then sit by the lake. On Friday and Saturday instead, after 23pm, music starts and the place will get full of people ready to dance! When it is not full you can park in front of it, otherwise during weekends, I suggest to park at Casino' which is 300 meters far from La Torre. Cocktails price is around 10-15 euros, which is totally worth it for the amazing location and drinks quality!

During the week it is more calm, you can relax at the piano bar and order drinks inside or then sit by the lake. On Friday and Saturday instead, after 23pm, music starts and the place will get full of people ready to dance! When it is not full you can park in front of it, otherwise during weekends, I suggest to park at Casino' which is 300 meters far from La Torre. Cocktails price is around 10-15 euros, which is totally worth it for the amazing location and drinks quality!
Parks & Nature
From Punta Sasso, a cliff in Manerba del Garda, you will have one of the best and most stunning view of the whole lake! Not many tourists know about it also because not many people know how to get there! If you want a short route to it, I suggest to follow directions to Pisenze Beach. At the parking of the beach, you will find a path going up (I think there is a direction map there) and then you continue up until you get to the top 'Punta Sasso'. I suggest to wear comfortable shoes, it will take 20-30 mins max. You will be repaid by a wonderful panoramic view! If you are sportive and that hike was not enough you can continue from there up to 'La Rocca' or walk along the cliff.

Definitely one of my favourite beaches on the Lake. There are umbrellas, deckchairs, kayak and paddling rental. The beach is composed by 3 parts, rocks, sand and park (grass). There is a good restaurant on the back of the beach that serves all types of dishes. There is a playground for kids too!
It is free entrance, you just have to pay the parking.

Baia Del Vento
7 Via Baia del VentoDefinitely one of my favourite beaches on the Lake. There are umbrellas, deckchairs, kayak and paddling rental. The beach is composed by 3 parts, rocks, sand and park (grass). There is a good restaurant on the back of the beach that serves all types of dishes. There is a playground for kids too!
It is free entrance, you just have to pay the parking.
