I prefer Fancy sushi (for sushi), but this place has s a higher end atmosphere and some great Japanese fusion entrees, but it comes at a higher price too. Cool overall place to go.

A Southern local chain with good food and great (free) fresh baked bread like jalapeno cheddar, cinnamon, and another one I can't remember. If you're into southern cooking, it's a pretty good venue

Can't vouch for it, but it's highly recommended, and in a nice area. Let me know if you recommend it! Unless you like reheated frozen food, don't eat at the Italian place on Centre Street -Terrible!!

A Very Close 2nd best sushi on the island, but the real draw is the hibachi which is as good as any I've been to, and yes they do the volcano! Good venue for kids.

You can walk down the beach and grab a drink at their outdoor bar and the restaurants are all good, esp brunch! Check out the website to see what may be of interest. Live jazz usually in the lobby.

It was under a different name when my wife and her bridesmaids were serviced there, but this still seems highly recommended.

Must stop for your walks along Centre st and your kids won't let you pass by this place after smelling the baking fudge from the street. Ice cream is pretty good too, though I still prefer cold stone.

BEST crab cakes. Recommend the Romano chicken and add skewer of shrimp. Don't be afraid of the baked pineapple side dish! Great outdoor area on facing the beach with play area for kids!

It's diagonally across the street from my place and easily walked to. 7 or 8.95 lobster special on Sundays. It's basically on a large deck which is partially covered, ton of TVs, and live entertainmen

I haven't been there is several years. It was always hit and miss in terms of the food, but the location is very nice on the beach and near the park area on the north side of the island.

Used to serve Seattle's Best. Good homemade baked goods and . Looks like it is still an island favorite. Great atmosphere and had free Wifi. Good place to just hang out and people watch.

Sightseeing
Great place to take kids for some history at the fort (which has re-enactors), a hike, camping, or fishing/walking on the public pier. Great place to bike around and have a picnic lunch.
