Every Saturday 8am-1pm. Its great to get amongst the yummy food and lovely people of Matakana. Recommend to head there early - no later than 9am to get the best choice of fare and before its crowded by the Auckland day trippers. Also the last Sunday of the month is the Matakana Craft Market 8am-12noon.

A great half day trip - easy going river paddling but over a good part of the day - check your tide times as you must leave Puhoi town on the river when nearly high, so that you are into Wenderholm before its low.

Matakana Cinemas is a great spot for when the quiet times are just not quiet enough - drop the kids off and head to dinner at one of the many romantic spots in the Matakana Village or a local Vineyard - thats 2hours of uninterrupted time!

A great destination with our Kayaks - right opposite Jamieson Bay! Take a picnic and soak up the last of the sun and swim in the beautifully protected and crystal clear water in Scotts Landing bay.

Mahurangi Regional Park and Sullivan's Bay is at the end of Ngarewa Drive and has plenty of options.
This is great for hiking and swimming. A walk down to Te Muri from the top of Ngarewa Rd to the South of Sullivans Bay will give you two choices - a walk up and over Cudlip point, of straight down walking south toward Wenderholm where the north side of Wenderholm is Te Muri Beach - surfable waves in the right conditions. But a beautiful little inlet that rises and falls with the tide to make your own private swimming pool!
