Did you drink too much at the casino last night? Bert's serves up greasy breakfast fare for the ill-est of patrons. My personal hangover fave: the huevos rancheros.

There's no shortage of great breakfast places around (and it's my favorite meal to eat out) but Artemis holds the crown for my favorite. My go-to is the Greek breakfast with over easy eggs. It's excellent for ANY meal of the day though.

This is my go to date spot - the bar is cozy and dark, the service is exceptional (which is strange in this town) and the pasta is hand made. To make it even better they serve my favorite montepulciano by the glass.

The only free parking beach (Kiva) is at this turn in. You can spend time walking up and down Taylor Creek Watershed and Valhalla Estates from here as well.

Fallen Leaf Lake can't be beat for its amazing scenery under the infamous peak of Mt. Tallac. Its an easy hike in and offers up to 4 miles of simple, not too technical hiking.

If you want to see Emerald Bay, the only way to do it in my opinion, is on this two hour wine tasting cruise featuring mostly local wines on a vintage Chris Craft that's been turned into a venetian style water taxi!

It doesn't matter how old you are - Alex Ramon will WOW you. I've seen the show too many times to count and I never get tired of Alex, his jokes, or his wonderful production. I can't recommend this enough for a night out.
