Norwegian food with a stunning view. You reach the restaurant with the subway "1 Frogneseteren" and get of at the last stop. Its located only a short walk away. Here you can taste some typical traditional foods. In the winter they also provide guests to eat in front of some big fireplaces. Nice place to end the skiing, if your there for å cross country experience. Lots of ski tracks and a downhill alpine track surrounds the area.

Then you will pass the artistic area of Oslo, with cafées, art universities and the ballet school. Nearby you will reach the area "Grünerløkka" also called "Løkka". Beach, a bit smaller than Huk, but close by. Also nice to take a evening trip here when its not to much people. You can buy a disposable grill, take the bicycle or the bus, and barbecue or share a nice bottle of wine? ...Close by is also a nudist beach for those who prefer the skinny dipping.

Take the subway "1 Frogneseteren" to "Holmenkollen" and see the symbol of Oslo, the well known ski jump. You can take the elevator all the way to the top for a nice view of the city. If you like hiking, I recommend you to walk into the woods to the cabin "Ullevålseter" eat a traditional meal, hosted bye the family of a famous norwegian ski athlete. Then you can walk further to Sognsvann, a nice lake. Its a good get away on a sunny day. You can take the subway back home at Sognsvann.
