For the foodies, we suggest checking out these places for some of the best meals in town. Some require planning ahead. If you’re looking for anything specific or need advice on what to do for certain occasions, we’re happy to help and share ideas!
There’s a lot to do in Burlington and the whole of Vermont, so it’s hard not to list everything we love about living here. Below are some must-sees when our own family and friends visit.
This is one of our favorite restaurants located on Main Street. Small plates to share, tapas style. The food is amazingly good, and the cocktails are stellar. The playlist is loud and amazing. It gets busy and it’s walk in only!

Serving breakfast and dinner, you don’t have to stay at Hotel Vermont to enjoy this place. They serve fresh and local ingredients, and a nice outdoor propane firepit if you want to just have drinks from the bar.

Located in Charlotte, this farm has a small market opened on weekends. They also have a prix fixe dinner with seasonal food from their farm, but you will need to get a reservation in advance.

Sightseeing
If you’re looking for a quick hiking adventure close to town, our suggestion is Mt Philo in Charlotte, about 25 minutes out of town down route 7. Stop at Folino’s pizza on your way back into town in Shelburne. It’s BYOB, so you can go next door to Fiddlehead Brewery or across the street to Shelburne Vineyard to pick up a bottle and have it with your pizza.
