Public transportation is not the best in Metro Atlanta Area
Public transportation though exists in Atlanta, it is a very inefficient mode of transportation. I would advice to review your potential activity level and decide on whether driving or using rideshare service (uber/Lyft) is best for you. My rule of thumb is if your total drive time during your stay will exceed an average of 1.5 hr per day, probably best to seriously consider a rental vehicle or bringing your vehicle if possible. The costs might be able to same or slightly higher, but the convenience is an added advantage.
