Food Scene
Best coffeshop in town. The coffee, the interior and the ambience, the drinks, the home-made ginger beer..this is truly one of a kind and my go-to place both day and nights. Can be a bit crowded during lunch-hour, but it`s usually possible to find a seat. Does not serve food, but you can bring your own or order in.

Great nordic gourmet-restaurant with reasonable prices, good beer and wine and fantastic service. The place itself is awesome, too, chandeliers and a rooftop terrace. Check out the place next door, "Pigalle", for after-dinner drinks.

Experience the beautiful Oslofjord by taking the ferry to Hovedøya, a mere ten minutes from City Hall. The ferryride is included if you buy a metrocard from Ruter (works on both tram, subway, bus and ferry).

Nice bar in an old post-office (the name means "post office", which is what it used to be). They have very good drinks, pizza and shuffleboard. Closes at 01.00. A good place to start exploring Tøyen, a buzzing part of town.

Best drinks in the city. The name means something like the botanical garden in Torggata, and is really green...Try the signature drink "Torggata botanisk" or one of the other specialities. Come early (before 22.00), as this is very popular these days.
