Sightseeing
This is the entrance to Custer State Park and has a cute little visitor center. If you are up for a hike, you can make a loop around the back side of the lake. I believe the hike is around a 4 mile hike and is a moderate level one.

A drive through Spearfish canyon is a must. The best time to go through is during the fall to see all the colorful leaves. There are a lot of hiking trails through here but a must see is the waterfall tucked behind the lodge. It is off of the main road and you will have to turn and drive past the lodge.

This is always a good bet for sightseeing. If you get lucky you might show up on a day where they set off an explosion because this is a work in progress.

This park is in the middle of town up a large winding hill. You can see the Dinosaurs from many different areas in Rapid City. A great place to take your children to.

This is a unique park that I loved taking my nephew to when he was younger. They do shows in the summer time and is a fun interactive park for kids.

This is a great place to take your teens for traditional arcade games. They also expanded to upstairs that offer food and games for younger children. But after 10pm the kiddos have to go because this bar-cade caters to old school video gamers.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in town. The staff is great and the food is better. If you are looking for a vegan option in town, this is a good way to go.
