Sometimes you just need authentic Mexican in a hurry. These guys have never let me down! Also great for quick black beans or guacamole if you are cooking.

The original Marni Thai (though you can walk to the one on 9th) is a SF icon. Amazing Thai food, great for groups. We usually do carryout, though! Always takes longer than they say;)

Tween/Teen heaven! We are a boba-loving-family, and this is the best close by. Unsweetened still has the natural sweet of the tea for a more grown-up palette.

Long regarded as one of the best sushi restaurants. Can't beat the quality and they have recently added RAMEN!! My only sadness is the lack of emphasis on sustainable fishing practices.

Sightseeing
This is a beloved neighborhood jewel! Definitely march up 17th avenue (away from park), and turn left up Moraga. Go a bit before sunset and you will be dazzled by the twinkling tile work on the upright surfaces of the steps. Beyond the steps, there are two more sets of stairs up and to the right that will take you to Grand View Park for some of the most fabulous views of the city!! Please do this if nothing else!!!
