The Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Mansion was originally constructed as a brick house in the Federal-style by Charles Marsh in 1805. It was purchased by Frederick Billings in 1869 and remodeled in the fashionable French Second Empire Style. Fifteen years later, Billings enlarged and remodeled the house in the Queen Anne Style. Billings' granddaughter, Mary French Rockefeller, inherited the property in 1954. She and her husband, Laurance Rockefeller, adapted the home for modern living. Today the home remains the way the Rockefellers left it in 1997.

Announced the opening of their new 18 hole disc golf course. The course is 4,573 foot layout with both blue and white tee boxes, this is the first official disc golf course in all of Rutland county. They also have kayak and paddle board rentals.

Mendon mini golf is a nice miniature golf course they also have batting cages and a pretty nice menu and of course Ice Cream. All reasonably priced, great place to a little fun.

History
Established in 1989.
The first batch of Long Trail Ale rolled off the line in 1989. Back then the brewery--known as the Mountain Brewers--was a modest brew house tucked into the basement of the Old Woolen Mill in Bridgewater Corners, with the goal to brew an affordable, American-made alternative to the pricey German and English exports that filled the shelves. At the time, the craft brewing industry in America was on the rise and Vermont was better known for maple syrup than beer. In 1989, Long Trail Ale hit the taps at local watering holes blazing the trail for Vermont's craft brewing industry. With the Mountain Brewers leading the pack, Long Trail Ale slowly weaved its way into the Green Mountain landscape--becoming as much a Vermont tradition as the hiking trail itself. Commonly referred to as "the Long Trail guys," we eventually changed our name. When we outgrew the 8,000 barrel-a-year system in the Old Mill basement in 1995, we decided to take a hike on up the road to where we reside today.
