The Sunken Gardens are 4 acres of well-established botanical gardens, located in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg, Florida, at 1825 4th Street North. The Gardens have existed for more than a century, and are one of the oldest roadside tourist attractions in the United States. The Gardens are now operated by the City of St. Petersburg, and maintained with the help of volunteers. Sunken Gardens are open to the public every day of the week. An admission fee is charged for entrance into the gardens and a yearly membership is also available. Sunken Gardens retains their historical interest as an important example of a 1930s Florida roadside commercial attraction, and is probably the oldest commercial tourist attraction on Florida's west coast. The Gardens are open to the public for educational programs, tours, and special events, particularly weddings which have taken place for decades on the Wedding Lawn, and in the banquet facilities in the Garden Room overlooking the unique garden setting.

The MFA was founded by art collector and philanthropist Margaret Acheson Stuart. As its first president, Mrs. Stuart contributed significantly to the construction of the building and provided endowment funds through her estate to support annual operations and to maintain the beauty of the grounds. She also provided monies to acquire art and donated works from her collection. The Margaret Acheson Stuart Society, the Museum's independent support organization, is named in her honor. The city provided the four-acre waterfront site for the construction of the original building and The Junior League of St. Petersburg offered resources for The Great Hall. The building was designed by John Volk and Associates of Palm Beach, with a curving colonnade on Beach Drive. Volk stated that "a museum should give a feeling of permanence and that is what I have tried to do with this building." Chartered by the State of Florida in 1961, The MFA opened its Beach Drive doors to the public in 1965–the first art museum in St. Petersburg. The Marly Room, an auditorium seating 220, and a sculpture garden, both made possible by Mrs. Stuart, were added to the building in 1974. Wikipedia

Every Sunday about 4:30 pm til 10:00 pm. A community drum circle in the United States is a noisy and fun, family friendly event, where people come together in order share their spirit by entraining rhythmically as a percussion ensemble. They empower each other in the act of celebrating community and life through rhythm and music. On the beach around Gulf Front Park and the inflatable slide near 104th Ave, is the Treasure Island Drum Circle.
