There's an awesome workout area to the S. of the pier. Bike ride, roller skate/roller blade, along the pathway with the best view in the city: The Pacific Ocean!

The place to hike up to see the view. Dog friendly hiking path - choose the slower, gradual climb to the left or the stair/steeper direct route to the right - a great way to get a work out, see a view, a people/hike watch as you work a sweat!
