45-55 MIN. DRIVE FROM MY HOUSE. 30 MILES AWAY. Many great trails with great scenery. One of the best places is PANORAMA POINT. From this spot, you have a great view of the Continental Divide. It can get a bit crowded, but keep walking down the trail. Once you are 20 feet away from the parking lot, it's pretty quiet.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park
92 Crawford Gulch Rd45-55 MIN. DRIVE FROM MY HOUSE. 30 MILES AWAY. Many great trails with great scenery. One of the best places is PANORAMA POINT. From this spot, you have a great view of the Continental Divide. It can get a bit crowded, but keep walking down the trail. Once you are 20 feet away from the parking lot, it's pretty quiet.
Pretty views, lots of animals to see, not too high. Touristy at the little store and Buffalo Bill museum.

So while you're staying at my house, and you're looking for things to do after you leave, I would put Glenwood near the top of the list.

So while you're staying at my house, and you're looking for things to do after you leave, I would put Glenwood near the top of the list.

When I was getting chemo, almost everything I tried to eat went right through me. One thing that did seem to help me feel better was the acupuncture that was offered at the cancer center. They told me there that the chemo poison was attacking my spleen, (?) and that I needed beets. Well, I'm not crazy about beets. But they have a yummy beet soup at Cracovia. Stopped off every week to pick some up.
