My Kings Beach Recommendations
Kings Beach Close-by Sightseeing
Only the closest Kings Beach spots are included in this section. There are countless hikes, beaches, etc. throughout North Lake Tahoe and Truckee. Amazing expansive lake views all along the trail. One of the closest trail heads to Kings Beach. Can hike in either direction on the Tahoe Rim Trail. For a relatively short (1.5 miles) and super satisfying hike I recommend hiking east (up the hill from the parking) to the "View Point" rock outcropping. Follow the signs :)

Parking can be tough in the tight neighborhood but this beach is definitely worth a visit for some of those iconic Lake Tahoe boulders in clear water views. This spot is world famous for SUPing (stand up paddle-boarding).

The "beachiest" beach on North Lake Tahoe. Super easy access for a lovely stroll on the lake shore, sunset views (or even better sunrise views) from the large public dock, or beach blanket tanning in the sand. Walking access to most of the restaurants and stores.

These are spots I frequent within Kings Beach. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion or have a "higher end" meal check out the "Special Occasion Restaurants" section for places that I recommend in neighboring towns.
Great Pizza, fresh salads, apps, beer and wine. Views from the back patio and top deck. FYI you can substitute the sauce on any pizza, so if you see one that you like but it has white sauce you can swap for the marinera. Definitely start with the warm olives and the brussel sprouts. Both are amazing.

Old-school Italian. Big plates. They have re-vamped the menu to be an bit more fresh and "Californian" while keeping the old-school vibes. The bar is classic. Good spot to watch an important sports event if you want to go out.

Venues
Kings Beach's most active venue. We get some amazing shows through here so it's worth checking the schedule. The only downside is you have to walk through the smoke in the casino to get to the showroom.

Special Occasion Restaurants
Other than Soule Domain in Kings Beach, I cannot recommend any higher end restaurants in Kings Beach. Restaurants in this section are personal favorites and are located in neighboring towns within 15 minutes drive.
Delicious food. Its pricey but you really can't beat the amazing lake views. I also recommend the "happy hour" menu out on the patio in the summer months.

Honestly, even though this market isn't located in Kings Beach it is my new favorite place to shop. Great selection of organic items and great prices. Never a long line like Safeway seems to have even if the store is empty. It definitely worth stopping here on your way into town.
