Sightseeing
Phipps is a wonderful place to feel like you’re getting out of the city. It has rooms filled with beautiful plants and installations and smells amazing! If you visit from May-September you can catch real butterflies flying around.
FYI...the walkways can be a bit narrow but it is wheelchair accessible.

Even if you’ve never heard of Andy Warhol (a Pittsburgh native!) it’s really fun to see all of the exhibits. The building itself is a wonderful piece of architecture.

The best view of the city! You can take the incline from Station Square or drive up to Mount Washington and walk along Grandview Avenue.

Point State Park is a beautiful place to walk around and see the city views. The fountain is a wonderful place to take pictures and hang out.

This museum is GREAT for kids! Parking is easy and the food is inexpensive. We recommend bring bathing suits/change of clothes for your children and starting the day at the top floor (the water floor) and working your way down.

You could spend an entire day wandering up and down The Strip and still not see everything. Come hungry! This is where the original Primanti Bro’s restaurant is (beloved in Pittsburgh) as well as lots of different markets, venues and retail stalls.

Thought of as “The Brooklyn of Pittsburgh” this neighborhood has a lot of hip boutiques, breweries and restaurants. Industry Public House and The Abbey on Butler street are some of our favorites.
Come for lunch and stay until early morning!

If you want to do some upscale shopping, while you’re in Pittsburgh, this is the place to go. Lulu Lemon, Apple, Alex and Ani and many small boutiques line Walnut Street. It’s also a great place to grab coffee or find some one of a kind keepsakes.

Come visit the sports Mecca of the City Of Champions! Even if you’re not a sports fan, PNC Park and Heinz Field have beautiful views of the city.
There is also the Science Museum and Rivers Casino, as well as many restaurants that are sure to please everyone.

Verkehrsmittel
The city of bridges is most accessible by car
Pittsburgh offers a bus service and a train (called the “T”). However, waiting for public transportation could take a big chunk of time away from seeing what you want to see. The “T” is fast but only takes you from Downtown to the North Shore and to Station Square (and further into the South Hills suburbs). A car or an Uber is the best way to go.
