Food Scene

This place specializes in raw vegan food. The spicy kale wrap is unbelievable, but I recommend you test it before you buy it if you're not a fan on "hot." They will cut it to make it less spicy if you ask.

This is my go-to spot for great eats in West End. It's a vegan Caribbean restaurant. The food is sublime, especially the "unfish."

This hole in the wall is arguably the best Indian restaurant in the city. They deliver to our house or are a quick MARTA ride to the Peachtree Center Station. There is a menu in the guest room local information drawer.

Intown Atlanta's best Vietnamese can be found at this small restaurant on Broad Street. The pho is to die for, as is the lemongrass tofu.

Currently West End's only coffee shop, this space serves as an important community space. The food is great, but I can't say the same of the coffee.

Located inside the taproom at Wild Heaven, this friendly little coffee shop is an integral part of the neighborhood, hosting a running club, open-mic nights, and drag bingo. As a queer-owned business, Finca to Filter also prioritizes partnering with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC local and Southern coffee brands as well as food businesses. The shop serves everything from drip coffee, flat whites, and lattes to espresso drinks and even a seasonal espresso spritzer. Grab coffee to go, take a seat inside, or sit in the garden.

Portrait has some of the best coffee in the city and features an on-site roastery inside the Lottie Watkins Building on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. As a Black-owned coffee company, the founders want to bring better and more diverse representation to the city’s specialty coffee scene. People can also find Portrait coffee sold at shops across Atlanta and can subscribe to the coffee bean subscription service.

This neighborhood grocery store looks sketchy from the outside, but is actually a great place for basics. The produce is quite inexpensive and quality.

Lee + White is a growing food and beverage district that include several breweries, a distillery, dining, and artisanal manufacturing uses. It's decidely NOT a food hall. Instead, this is a true maker district where where many goods are sold on-site. Check out Monday Night Brewing for great beer and an amazing terrace overlooking the Atlanta BeltLine.
