Nearby quiet park, good for a small detour and kids. Offers good views on the neighborhood as well. There is a nuclear shelter below the park that sometimes opens for a tour. And as well as in any other park in Prague - there is a pub :)

A park where you go if you want to have a beer. Popular place for locals - sometimes even to crowded - especially in a main big beer garden. Some spots offer really cool views on the Castle and the Old Town as well - those are usually enjoyed the most while sitting on a grass and drinking the beer :)

My favorite park - can be accessed from the flat by a short walk that leads through 4 other parks! :) Or you can just wander off a bit and go through a few Vrsovice streets. Definitely a nice walk to shake off the dirt from the overcrowded center. There is a popular restaurant for beer and especially wine in the center of the park. Close to the park in Krymska street and around are a few really great local bistros.

National Monument - built on a Vitkov hill dominates the surrounding neighborhoods of Zizkov and Karlin. There is a short exhibition about modern Czech history (starting in 1918). You can also get to the roof for really great views on the center and neighborhood, have a coffee there or visit another exhibition devoted to our first communistic president (the ultimate asshole), that was exhibited here in mummified for the same way as Lenin was. Potentially a great place to see when taking a walk around Zizkov neighborhood.
