Alfresco Casual Living has great selection of hand-picked gift items and unique home goods, whether you're buying for yourself or a friend. We also love to stop in at Art & Soul to check out their large assortment of rocks and crystals, as well as other fun small items. Make sure to check out the basement where you can pick your own beads and make custom jewelry on the spot.

Teddy Bear Park, 207 Nelson St E. This is the local kid favorite. Featuring larger than life bear statues, themed play structures and a large at sand area, this playground is great for both the little and big kids. Its the only playground near Main Street so you can swing by before or after shopping and ice cream. Pioneer Park, 515 2nd St N. This park is on the North end of town on top of the bluff. It has a large play structure, grassy areas, a small amphitheater and plentiful picnic tables. Scope out a fantastic view of downtown, the river and bridges while the kids play.

Ice Cream and Treats

For a quick ice cream treat go to the walk-up window at Leo's Malt shop. MN Nice Cream is soft sere full of novelty toppings. For a big scoop & local favorite go to Nelson's ice cream - make sure to get the child's size! For candy and treats: Candyland specializes in popcorns and other treats; Barbara Ann's Fudge Shoppe has chocolates and novelty candies; and Tremblay's is your classic candy shop with walls of candies and taffy. New to town is Blue Sun Soda shop, with hundreds of fun flavored sodas and candy galore.
