We try to point out some of the places that are worth to see while you are in Crete. Having personally visited all these places we can offer you details and tips for easier access and to make your stay memorable.
One of the best places on Crete. It is 2 hours driving but it worth the trouble. Never stop to swim where the umbrellas and the cantina are. Walk a bit further out to the right and cross the sand dunes. There you will find a lot of quite places to enjoy the coral sand and the sea.
The hole area is classed as a wild life park. A must visit place.

Elafonissi Strand

It is a picturesque place away from traffic and tourists. It will take 1 hour driving in a good contrition road at south Crete. The place is ideal for snookering and relaxing. The taverna at the spot provides excellent food and friendly service.

Similar to the famous Samaria gorge, only smaller and easier to cross. At the end of the gorge there is one of the most beautiful white stone beaches of Crete, called Marmara. Greek Mythology says Apollo used to take his bath there.
Near by is the picturesque village of Loutro from where you will take the boat to return to Chora Sfakion.
